Participants will learn facts and myths about DV.
Effects of Violence on Children
Participants will learn developmental stages and unhealthy symptoms of children exposed to DV.
Teenage Dating and Abuse
Participants will learn consequences of dating violence, as well as, promote healthy relationships.
Characteristics of Batterers
Participants will learn why abusers engage in abusive behaviors and what can be done about it.
Assessing Lethal and Dangerous Behaviors
Participants will learn common factors that specify an increased risk of lethal violence and assist victims with evaluating the risk a batterer poses.
Why Does the Victim Stay/Developing a Safety Plan
Participants will learn how to enhance victim/survivor safety.
Participants will learn nationwide and community domestic violence resources.
Effective Communication Skills
Participants will learn how to self-regulate emotions by implementing effective communication skills in the home and community.
